Ledbury to Bristol.

Liz took me back from Bishops Frome where she had e joyed Paul McCartney and orders strutting there stuff at Glastonbury and regaled the locals with her Glasto experiences. We met hamish and Sipgia at the Gloucester Road out of Ledbury and Hamish got his bike out to join me on this leg of the trip. w Western off at a good pace and soon made it to Gloucester here we went around the quays a d picked up the canal tow path. We then had a long stretch of pathway on the Gloucesterand Sharpness canal of varying quality from wide and well paved to rutted and difficult all with the added inconvenience if dog walkers other cyclists and fishermen with a lot of equipment. We left the canal to go throughFrampton before rejoining around Slimbridge. Apart from the challenges of the tow path it was generally scenic with a lot of water activities and house boats of varying quality. We had our mid day break at the Black Barn Cafe and bar. In the cafe we met a elderly gent (84) who told us all about his record held for the fastest time between Aberystwyth to Ipswich, how he was a member of the Cyclists Record Association and was hoping to take part in a tricyclerecord attempt. He said problems with joint infection and hadn'tbeen cycling for a while. From Slimbridge we headed off and joined the A38 for the remaining 16 miles into Bristol. There we went through Filton past GKN a d over the downs down to Cotham. I was grateful to have Hamish leading through Bristol. The last 2 hours along the A38 had been particularly hard work due to a persistent head wind. a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhCCHrXdPV5kWMaBkjm36HD-FjhjALlXKMcgsSBOAcZppt_H3SEFbcSTVLqZmn2XTkRG8-suwQqSYJ68mewE46G7ns0KBxgXcBqP5ubI3u3I_UsHOuKOQPIBrLAMxLv-iEY2sbqIIM-3hPyo-zGE8ltDu581kaMHTq22UCezOsppAByp8sQL0BHJyXZ/s2048/IMG-20220626-WA0001.jpg" style="display: block; padding: 1em 0; text-align: center; ">
