JOGLE out of the starting gates
After a very pleasant if slow train ride from Inverness to Wick, I found Brian Yellop at The Spot Cycle Shop and he had the bike all prepared. While I tried to sort out the luggage and change He very kindly attached a mirror and bracket for my Garmin bike GPS. He informed me that all I had to do was follow the signs to John O'Groats along the A99 and it was 16 miles. 26 miles later after a minor navigational error I was at the famous sign post. There was a queue mainly caused by a coach load from a womens organisation. I then had the statutory photo taken by some bikers and I took theirs. The ride over to Thurso was relatively easy just undulating lanes and good views.but potholes to rival the grand cannon . Checked in at hotel ar 5.30 Total distance for the day 46 miles
